Change in SU15 beta 1
THE GOOD
The Surface winds are now the same as that set in the the Weather Menu.
ie No longer is the Ground wind 1/2 that set in the Weather menu.
The idea that winds at 1000ft are twice that on the ground is no longer relevant.here.
The Weather Menu winds are now teh GROUND winds, same as teh real weatehr Atis Winds
Now the Ground wind = the Weather setting, = Correct Real weather value.(and real world non MSFS Atis)
THE BAD (BUG)
The Sim’s Atis in now x2 that value
In the above screen shots, one for Profile weather, one for Real weather, in BOTH cases, the SIms ATC Atis is giving wind speed at TWICE what they should be,
At least its a big improvement on pre su15, as now most is basically correct, especially if you just remember to halve any Atis speeds, (which is now only a text/verbal Atis issue), and does not drastically affect one’s actual Flying., or plane’s behavior.
