[SU2 Beta] Objects always snap to ground with UseInstancing option enabled. snapToGround option is ignored

Context: Place a scenery object with “snapToGround” set FALSE, and UseInstancing option enabled. The object ignores the disabling of snap to ground.

Bug description: Objects placed with mass instancing always snap to ground, ignoring the snapToGround option and the pitch/altitude.

Repro steps: Open scenery editor, place object with Snap to Ground disabled and Use Instancing enabled.

I was not using the scenery editor. I noticed using the scenery editor, the snap to ground option disappears.

Any chance to change this, to support instancing of objects not snapped to ground?

Apologies for the late reply.

By design we don’t support mass instancing objets with the snap to ground option enabled.
However, I will tag this topic as bug-logged as we have a task to implement this.
