[SU2 beta] Partial regression of AI aircraft parking when injected via SimConnect

Version: 1.4.9

Frequency: Consistently

Severity: High

Marketplace package name: n/a

Context: FSLTL - AI aircraft injection via SimConnect

Similar MSFS 2020 issue: n/a

Bug description:
This seems to be a partial regression from this MSFS2024 bug that was fixed in SU1: [MSFS2024] - SimConnect - AI injected aircraft only being placed in parking without airlineCodes - [MSFS 2024] Bug Reports / SimConnect - MSFS DevSupport
In the current SU2 beta release (1.4.9) the sim is back to reusing already used taxiwayParking spots to place new aircraft, removing the existing aircraft to make room.

In the video below, the apron shown is full of taxiwayParking spots, but the sim just cycles through the same spot for each aircraft we’re injecting. The attached photo shows the same injector process injecting the same aircraft at the same airport content in MSFS2020.

Repro steps: Inject AI aircraft using AICreateParkedATCAircraft & AICreateEnrouteATCAircraft.

Unlike the previous bug, the sim does appear to be taking into account the airline codes assigned to parking, but it seems the sim is choosing the best matching taxiwayParking spot without regard to if that parking spot is taken, removing the aircraft in that spot to make room for the newly assigned aircraft,

Can confirm this issue with AIGTC when using AICreateParkedATCAircraft

This also results in significant stutters as the planes are constantly removed/replaced while there are many empty parking spots available.

BGL or SimConnect?

BGL traffic.

could be some other issue with MSFS, thus report was for SimConnect and that was fixed according to the ChangeLog and the user-reports we have so far. Maybe open a new topic for BGL related issues.

There is allready https://devsupport.flightsimulator.com/t/ai-aircrafts-tries-to-park-same-parking-spot/13668/4

Yep! This is fixed, now the only thing we need is to improve the AI plane movement and the distance we can see Ships in the ocean/sea!
