The SDK of MSFS gives the possibility to modulate the intensity of the
emissive part of a texture via xml…! It’s very good! I would like to have
the same possibilities to adjust the intensity of the ALPHA channel, in order
to make a texture more or less transparent, on a complete range from 0 to 1,
from totally transparent to a complete opaque. Currently this is not possible:
a total opaque, with a texture having an Alpha channel, leaves all the
textures with reflections… I make this proposal on the suggestion of
“Selmar” in our Discord group…
Hi @FlyingRaccoon , I think this suggestion
must have been forgotten…! To be able to actually adjust the alpha channel
of a texture is not a capricious idea…, but a real need in some particular
case. And I think that this possibility would add a lot to the high quality of
Asobo’s work… Thank you for considering this request with the maximum
seriousness!
Hello @ChrisSMS As Alyzée mentioned in the Dev
Q&A;, we are struggling to find time to properly review all submitted ideas at
the moment. When we have some time, we review the most upvoted ideas first and
select ones that are matching our design direction and are doable with the
resources we have. The Jetway API coming with SU12 is a good example of this.
We don’t doubt you have good reasons to request such a feature but we humanly
can’t add all requested features. This also applies internally where our
designers have a lot of good ideas that don’t make it into the sim. The best I
can suggest here is to do some lobbying to have other people upvoting your
idea so that it’s higher in the list and has a better chance of being
developed by Asobo. Regards, Sylvain

the forum guidelines change?
