A few weeks ago I noticed the Bing aerial imagery in the area in and around my DAAT (Tamanrasset) airport in Algeria was updated to the much more recent aerial imagery that currently appears on maps.bing.com. This is a challenge because I make extensive use of aprons to cover up vehicles and to generally make the scenery prettier, and the new maps make all that look terrible.
I logged into MSFS today and I see that the in-sim aerial imagery is now back to the old one, same as it was for the past few years. Was the introduction of the updated imagery a glitch, or is it going to come back? I don’t know if I’ll have to budget time to fix my airport or not.
Not sure this is SDK related, but I logged several issues on zendesk about similar happening on multiple default airports. Stuff like runways & aprons in different positions. I didn’t get any feedback, but all the ones I reported have now reverted, leaving me to believe it was an anomaly with the map imagery, so hopefully won’t recur.
