Hello there!
I’m trying to add some instruments from the so-called “pre-made” Included attachments following this workflow - INCLUDED ATTACHMENTS
However, I’m running into an issue. When I select Asobo_Banner_Hook from SimAttachment Explorer, I can’t select banner_hook.xml for the Attachment File field - there are no files to choose from. I searched my entire PC, but I can’t find these files anywhere.
Are they missing from the sim, or am I looking in the wrong place?
Also, what’s the correct way to add a simple “pre-made” attachment like a gauge?
Dear Asobo Team, I totally get it, you are busy crafting another masterpiece with MSFS2024. Absolute legends. But maybe, just maybe, you could spare a moment to shed some light on this?
I hope I am not asking for anything as complex as rocket science, nor am I reporting some ultra-rare, reality-breaking bug. Just a simple question - where exactly are those files from the SDK documentation hiding?
Or, at the very least, could someone finally explain, once and for all, how this is actually done in the SDK example?
Much appreciated!
Looking forward to the enlightenment
I have not tried using the attachment editor, but I have added them to the cfg file using a text editor. You can find those instrument files in the 2024 file system using the VFS projector.
@WombiiActual thank you very much, priceless suggestions!
Although such method gives me the possibility to move forward, I still hope Asoba will clarify the situation
I also noticed that some XML files are missing from the “pre-made” attachments, even when checking through the VFS projector, which makes them completely unusable
