All of a sudden, I am getting errors saying “Mutiple nodes not supported” for all of my Vector placements. I havent had this issue at all while creating the scenery until now, and all of the fencing etc I created with vector placements now do not show. How could I fix this?
Make sure all of your model’s parts are joined together into one mesh.
How would I go about doing this?
Depends on if it’s a model you created or a default model.
If you created it, in Blender you can select all parts with A in object mode then just Ctrl+J to join (flatten) them all.
If it’s a default model, you’ll just have to choose a different one and hope it was made correctly to support vector placement.
Im using a default model, so you are suggesting they dont work for vector placement? For about the past 3 days ive had no issues with them in vector placement, however I open up the project for the second time today and now I am all of a sudden getting warnings (with all models, not just one specific one)
I have ran into some default fence models that didn’t work, yes. But if this is happening with all models you have tried so far, then I’m not exactly sure. Still happens after a sim restart? (I’m assuming your second time was after a restart)
When I had opened the project this morning, all of the vector placements were fine. I opened it up again this afternoon and suddenly got these warnings for the vector placements that already existed. I restarted pc+sim however the warnings still persisted after restart
Are you on the beta branch or the 2020 stable release?
I’m in 2024 SU2 (no beta) and started the project in the same bersion
Ah, ok. You had the thread labeled as 2020. I’m about to open one of my projects, so I’ll see if I can reproduce it in any way.
Ah didn’t realize that sorry, fixed it now. And awesome thanks, let me know if you are able to and if not I may try in a new project as well to reproduce
I haven’t been able to reproduce this in my package no matter what I have tried so far. I tried to do a deeper search for you as well (including in a few Discords), but I have only found one other thread mentioning it. Ironically, the one I answered last.
I have only ever had this message appear when there is an issue with the model you are trying to use itself. So, unless something suddenly changed server-side, maybe it’s just a corrupt file or something?
It’s a shot in the dark, but you could try to remove the StreamedPackages folder from your MSFS Packages directory and let it redownload the couple of gigs at sim startup.
Other than that, maybe someone else will run into this or a similar issue if it’s not just some random fluke on your end.
I’ll keep thinking on this one, but I’m out of suggestions for now. Sorry!
Not sure how it worked, but clearing out StreamedPackages and redownloading the data seemed to clear the errors. Thanks so much for the help!
