VR cockpit focus ignored when mouse is over display

Version: 1.36.2.0

Frequency: Consistently

Severity: Low

Context: All aircraft with glass cockpit and/or MFDs

Bug description:
When in VR mode and the mouse pointer is located above a display the “VR - Cockpit Focus” command is ignored when a correctly mapped controller button is pressed.

By contrast, when the mouse pointer is NOT located on any cockpit display the cockpit focus works as expected. However, if the mouse pointer is then brought onto the display while the mapped controller button is held then releasing the button will also be ignored i.e. cockpit focus remains stuck until the mouse pointer is moved out of the display.

Expectation: “VR - Cockpit Focus” works regardless of the current position of the mouse pointer

Repro steps:

  1. Start a flight with the stock DA40
  2. Assign command “VR - Cockpit Focus” to a controller
  3. Enter VR mode
  4. Move VR mouse pointer over one of the G1000 displays
  5. Issue command “VR - Cockpit Focus” while looking at the G1000 (or anywhere on the instrument panel for that matter)

Since this doesn’t seem to be directly related to the SDK and didn’t receive any feedback here I re-reported this bug in the Bug Reporting Hub category of the user forum:
