Version: 1.1.9.0
Frequency: Consistently
Severity: High
Mostly a visual issue, but also affects using these lakes for floatplane operations.
Marketplace package name: Emerald Scenery Design - 8AK5 Fort Crosby
Context: Issue is currently observed in a 2024 native package, but is also an issue in the 2020 package (used in 2024).
Bug description:
A shallow water artifact forms along what looks to be the boundary of two or more tiles on a water polygon added in a custom scenery. So far, I have observed it in three separate addons, but only on one body of water in each addon, even though there are multiple that I have added in close proximity.
Using the poly debug, you can see that the artifact follows where MSFS has decided to split the poly:
This results in an area of shallow water along the boundary:
Some other affected locations:
Snowflake Lake (Freeware - Not available on Marketplace)
RN25 Twentyfive Mile and Limber Lake (Available on Marketplace - Currently shown is a 2020 package)
