While editing scenery, CTD every time

Has anyone else had issues with editing airports in 2024 and getting crash to desktops? After two days of just trying to get a project to create and build because it couldn’t create a layout.json file, I finally got that to work, but I have to save the project literally every 30 seconds or I will get a CTD. My mouse disappears and I know I have just a few seconds to save any changes made or it crashes. I’ve searched the forums and although there are plenty with CTD posts, I haven’t found any with this specific issue. It is very frustrating and have yet to be able to figure out a cause. I never had this in 2020 and was able to edit for hours without a single CTD.

I’ve been enable to edit without it CTDing. Do you have any Community add-ons or are you running any betas?

After the game crashes and you load back in there’s a logging window that pops up in the left-hand corner of the screen. You should use that and submit the file to the forum admins for analysis.

I will try removing everything in my community folder to see if that helps. I did create an RAI file, but their site won’t allow me to upload it. Pretty ridiculous.

I have tried removing everything from community folder and that didn’t fix it. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the sdk and now, it crashes within a minute of the project being loaded regardless of me saving the project or not. I have no clue what the issue is, but it is very annoying.

Did this issue get resolved?
I just started a new project. the first for a long time and it did the same for me.
However, I’m using 3 displays on an Nvidia 3070ti and another on the MB built-in Intel GPU and I got a GPU error message the first time. The Multi window, render windows 1 and 2 had flickering windows. When I attempt any actions it goes CTD!

Since updating to the beta, I finally am stable, but have yet to complete a single project in the sdk. It is a complete pain in the butt. Blender exporter isn’t working either for 2024 as I get an export fail or some other error regarding an LOD issue. I am able to edit within the sdk using the default stuff, but any custom buildings I have yet to get working.

After nearly pulling all my hair out, I didn’t realize you have to delete and reinstall the blender exporter with each update. I also had “keep original” checked for textures, and unchecking it fixed the issue. It looks like I will finally be able to finish my first 2024 project.

I think I spoke too soon. Now the textures have stopped working and not exporting…this is so annoying at this point.

Hey, thanks for letting me know. I can’t do another “beta/alpha” they’ve worn me out!
I’ll try again when SU3 is released.
