While planning a free flight, RequestSystemState for FlightPlan returns ".PLN"

Version: SimConnect 1.1.2, SunRise version 12.1

Frequency: Consistently

Severity: Low

Marketplace package name: N/A

Context: N/A

Similar MSFS 2020 issue: N/A

Bug description: When requesting the “FlightPlan” SystemState while planning a freeflight, just the extension is returned. Until that moment an empty string is returned, afterwards “C:\USERS\<user>\APPDATA\LOCAL\PACKAGES\MICROSOFT.LIMITLESS_8WEKYB3D8BBWE\LOCALSTATE\MISSIONS\CUSTOM\CUSTOMFLIGHT\CUSTOMFLIGHT.PLN”.

Repro steps: Start simulator, “Start”, “Free flight”, run test.

Attachments: See the example code in this repository, folder “part-2/2-1 SystemState”.

Note: If I continue into the flight, then in the menu click the cogwheel, I got the “.FLT” saved flight instead of the plan? Haven’t reproduced yet, bit late in the evening. Sorry.

Hello @BenkeiBuddy

This seems to be a duplicate of SubscribeToSystemEvent FlightPlanActivated returns only the file extension - [MSFS 2024] Bug Reports - MSFS DevSupport

The request is not the same but both issues have the same cause.

Regards,
Sylvain

@FlyingRaccoon Just to be sure, the fact that the “Sim” and “DialogMode” system states don’t correctly reflect what is happening in the simulator, is that also the same bug?
