Hello, I know based on certain assumptions that one of our airports will
become free on a future World Update. That’s fine. Just that there is an issue
that must be addressed please, considering thousands of people have that
airport. The main problem is that our airport won’t show if you install a
world update. I have tested creating an airport that is in a world update, and
the result is that it won’t show no matter what. So I don’t know what sort of
exceptions are made to airports that are available in the marketplace and are
free in a world update, but the only solution is to completely uninstall the
world update package, ie France or UK. Don’t know how it works, for example
with LFMN airport, which is free in the France World update, but my assumption
based on actually trying to do an airport from the world update is that it
won’t show. So please, if you are to do an airport already in the marketplace
and release it with a world update, please find a way for that airport not to
block out the other already release airport, since the money thousands of
customers have spent will completely go to waste. Let them chose between
having that specific world update airport or the one they purchased in the
marketplace. Let us know
Hello Richie, Can you try to delete the Content.xml file in your AppData MFS
directory or edit it and put your airport package at the bottom of the list?
This files handles the priorities between package and world update packages
seem to be added at the end, taking priority over your content unless your
clear or edit that file. Regards, Sylvain
Yes, this is exactly how that works. It also works with World Update
landmarks. Frankly, it would be nice if there was an easier way of editing
priorities or simply always putting 3rd party content above by default.
Thanks so much, the real question is how would the end user handle this, I
don’t see how I would tell thousands of customers to do this. I am sure many
of us can accomplish this, or even in the XBOX version if this solution is
possible. Would this be possible automatically or would it need this solution?
Or should we just tell our customers to uninstall our package, and re-install
it, that way priority is fixed so it can show?
