My Blender Exporter does not have the GUI XML export option (missing) which is needed for exporting custom scenery objects. (BIN, glTF, and XML files).
Can I simply create one using their pattern and my own GUID codes?

I looked in the glTF, no reference to a GUID. However, the BIN is encrypted.

Yes it will work
As per your thought, the “guid” is not part of the glTf specifications
In fact you are using it in the .XML
That number assigns an unique identifier to the specific model (glTf+bin)
So it can be later referenced somewhere else ( maybe in a scenery/placement .xml)
For Simobjects, instead, the guid in the model .xml is not needed because they are referenced by their name (the one in the sim.cfg)
