Bug description: I used the package from MSFS2020, in MSFS2020 everything is fine but in MSFS2024 some animation have problem which you can see in my video ( the human not walk…,flags, the train …)
I’m having the same issue on many of my older rigged animations. Newer ones seems to be working fine though, so possibly they require re-exporting with later version of the Blender plugin?
Would be a massive time saver if the animations that work in 2020 would work in 2024…
@Boris if you can port in MSFS2020 products into MSFS2024 directly for your testing, please have a look at these for reference:
Aerosoft EGAR Rothera:
Has some animated people around a small base, so easy to find. All of them are scenery objects, animations are either buggy or don’t work at all (also applies to flags btw.)
Aerosoft VNPL Phaplu:
Also has lots of animated people. Exactly the same animation setup for all of them as the previous one, but here they do work! Only difference is that these here have been set up as simobjects!
Seems that animation behavior has not been set up the same way it was in MSFS2020 for scenery objects. For simobjects everything seems to work fine (but they come with some other downsides I will elaborate in a separate thread regarding simobjects and collision meshes in a few moments…).
To be fair I saw last night at EGKA default airport all the airport staff bone animations were not working, it seems to me the alpha version we have, has an issue with such animations at the core.
Hi Milo, do you have a sample of the non working Simobjects?
Mine are ok, a thing I have discovered is that the new game doesn’t like special characters in node names (only AaZz_- are allowed)
