Apron over ProjectedMesh Surface Issue

Since one of the latest updates to the SDK the surface type of an apron has been tied to the projected meshes type underneath.

For example, I have a PM with asphalt type and I had a grass apron on top of it. Before the grass was being generated. Now it looks like green flat asphalt.

another area has a PM with grass type underneath and a concrete apron on top is being drawn as grass.

This did not happen before.

Bumping this. I believe this is a very critical bug

Hello @vpilotfs ,

Could it be that you’re using an opacity setting lower than 100%? This might explain why the projected mesh is taking over the apron with the grass-type texture at this specific place.
I’m not sure about your last screenshot.

You can send us your project and we will take a look at it.
See section 3) Provide private content, here.

Also, there’s no need to mention us every few days, as we are notified of each new post. Unfortunately, we just can’t respond to every post as quickly as we would like.

Hello @Boris

In the first 2 images, I believe the opacity is at 100%. I will check once I get back to my PC. But I remember other areas in this project that in fact I had already set with grass material before and it was being generated and now it is not. I also remember testing not too long ago and the grass was being generated even with opacity near 0%.

I will check later on and will get back to you. If it still does not work. I will upload the project.

Thank you and sorry about the repeated mentions.

I performed 2 tests. Both with opacity at 100% and the aprons are still taking the surface properties from the ProjectedMesh underneath them.

Hello, this issue is still present. Graphics settings are set to Ultra. The 3D grass is generated as long as the surface underneath is not different to grass.

Hello @vpilotfs

I apologize for the delay.

We were able to reproduce the issue.
A ticket has been created in our backlog.

Thank you,

Boris
