HTML "touchscreen" gauges not interactable with controller inputs

Xbox users are reporting that the custom tablet EFB on the C-17 (HTML Gauge with touchscreen) is no longer functional after this week’s update.

There are no issues on PC, seems to be Xbox only. Given the limited Xbox debug tools we have access to, I’m raising the issue here, as I’m really not sure how to proceed with this one.

@EPellissier

Bump - continues being an issue with Xbox users.

Bump @EPellissier @FlyingRaccoon Issue seems to persist. Works fine in PC, and we can’t really debug on Xbox.

Hello @vantech,

Apologies for the delay.

I’ll move this topic in [MSFS 2024] Bug Reports instead of [MSFS 2024] Questions & Community Discussions as this is more a bug than a question :wink:

This seems like a duplicate of MSFS 2020 Planes - HTML/JS Input fields not working with Xbox

What’s your game version ?

Regards,
Boris

Issue occurs in both the stable release and SU1 Beta. After further investigating, found the root cause, and its not only a Xbox problem - happens in PC as well: Touchscreens in FS24 seem to be incompatible with Xbox controllers.

In PC (and Xbox, if a mouse is used), touchscreens displays function just fine with mouse interactions. However, when an Xbox controller is used, the cursor is unable to interact with the touchscreen.

The exact same gauge functions correctly on FS20 with an xbox controller. I’m unaware if there are any new configs we need to be aware of, and may be missing, to make the display controller-friendly.

@Boris Bump :slight_smile:
This is potentially affecting other aircraft as well

Hello @vantech,

I was out of the office last week, but I didn’t forget about you :wink:.
Thank you for the details.

We already tracking the issue.

Regards,
Boris
