Ever since the patch that was released on 12/2/2024, I can’t complete a build. Very shortly after getting the Console Report to come up, the whole sim performs a CTD. The Project was originally a 2020 Project and before this latest patch to MSFS 2024, I was able to continue to edit and build in the MSFS 2024 SDK, but now…
I’m using MSFS 2024 SDK Ver. 1.0.0
MSFS 2024 Ver. 1.1.10.0
My Community folder only contains Navigraph Charts folders.
Any questions, comments, or hints would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Can’t even open the project inspector before a CTD now. The project shows as “edited” in amber.
I tested your project and it builds and loads correctly in MSFS2024 1.1.10.0.
Try to remove everything from your community folder (Navigraph Charts too) before restarting the sim.
I’m going in to give it a try now. I just updated to SDK 1.0.1 as well. Wish me luck!
EDIT: No luck. I entered Free Flight mode at KHEF, things looked correct (fog enveloping the airport with light rain falling), then I tried opening the KHEF-Corrections Project on the DevMode menu. I got the initial woodw-airport-khef-manassas listing in the Project screen, but then when I expanded it to get to the Scenery.bgl, the sim CTD’d.
My Community folder is completely empty.
I’m going to put together the dump file now. I’m assuming that’s the “Report-An-Issue” button on the top-right of the DevMode menu bar, right?
Sim restarted, RAI set to create a dump on crash, opened the project, sim CTD’d. Now waiting for a restart.
Bad time to be troubleshooting. The new Version 1.2.7.0 patch just downloaded.
On the plus side, I can now get in and edit my scenery. I had two restarts with CTDs before the 1.2.7.0 update and no CTD (so far) since the update was installed. Apparently whatever the problem was with my computer and the SDK, MSFS 2024 1.2.7.0 solved it.
I can save the Scenery.BGL, and I can build the package without any errors or warnings.
