I’m getting these awful brown areas around my pavement. No grass will grow and it’s generally flat and low resolution. I have no idea what could be causing this… I’ve tried removing EVERYTHING, even photoshopping a taxiway out of the aerial imagery to see if that was what was causing it. Nothing. I’ve got these on a couple projects, but this one is by far the worst.
For what it’s worth, this is an FS2020 project opened, saved, and rebuilt in 2024.
Update… rebuilding the package after deleting the apron removes it, but the outline of the taxiway from the DEFAULT scenery persists! This is what you’re seeing in this shot. Where the yellow lines are drawn is where the taxiway in my project goes. This is a double issue… pavement is leaving weird edges and the outline of default stuff is still showing up.
I think what you are seeing is just the aerial imagery. Normally I’d align everything to match. However you could cover it up with some sort of grass apron.
It’s possible that the aerial you’re seeing is the default aerial and not the one from your project.
To force your aerial to load after building the project, you can teleport far away and then return to your project location. This should refresh the aerial and display the correct one.
Additionally, default aerials may have shifted slightly due to updates, which could explain the differences. Terrain colors can also change depending on the season (e.g., green in spring and brownish in fall/winter).
