Wanted to report that with SU14 beta installed, the material editor no longer has a drop-down to select a surface type for aprons/polygon materials. If you load an existing ground surface material, a red error message “incompatible” appears and it asks to delete/reset the material.
This is true of any surface material using a Normal/Roughness/Metal (which is required for surface materials).
It’s also not possible to create a new ground material.
Reverted back to non-beta and the problem was resolved.
Also want to report that I tested modifying a .material file directly to add the missing textures and change the surface type outside of the UI which worked.
While editing the .material file works, SU14 did not register any new .material files manually created in the material lib even if correct from a syntax and new GUID level. I assume here is that it’s not re-reading the content of the material library folder even on re-build.
